The pre-conference event of the Third National and Second International Conference on “Peace and Sport” was held on the morning of Sunday, September 6, at the Shahid Motahari Conference Hall of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Islamic Azad University, Karaj Branch, with the participation of faculty members, staff, and students of the university.

According to the Public Relations Office of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hamid Ghasemi, Head of the Peace and Sport Commission of the National Olympic Committee, and Dr. Shabnam Mirnezami, Vice President for Research at Islamic Azad University, Karaj Branch, presented their specialized perspectives during the event.

The program continued with two specialized panels focusing on “Peace and Sport” and “Peace, International Relations and Diplomacy,” attended by a number of university professors, experts, and specialists in the field.

The pre-conference event aimed to examine the role of sport in promoting a culture of peace, strengthening international relations, and developing the capacities of sports diplomacy. It also sought to introduce and promote the principles and values of peace through sport among university students and academics.
